Bonkowski's Fever

An extremely dangerous and contagious disease described in detail by Dr. Bonkowski. Epidemics of this disease can occur but are characteristic only for tropical inhabitants, i.e., those in hot and humid climates. Within the borders of the Empire, cases of this disease are extremely rare. Typically, the afflicted are pilgrims visiting southern countries for religious purposes or merchants involved in trade with tropical lands. The virus rapidly affects the lungs, leading to breathing difficulties. The heart muscle is then targeted, and at this stage, the disease is practically incurable.
